Itinerary: Ausangate 7 Lakes Hike

Your journey begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco around 4:00 AM. After a scenic three-hour drive through the picturesque Andean countryside, you will arrive at Pacchanta, situated at 4,200 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll be treated to a hearty breakfast prepared by your trekking chef, ensuring you’re fueled for the day ahead.

Following breakfast, you’ll embark on a challenging five-hour hike that takes you along a breathtaking route lined with seven spectacular lakes, including Azulcocha, Otorongo, and Pucacocha.

As you hike, you’ll be captivated by the majestic snow-covered peaks that frame your path, including Ausangate Mountain, one of the highest in the region.
