Day 1: Cloud Forest Adventure

Kick off your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your Cusco hotel. Our van will navigate the scenic Andean roads, showcasing charming mountain towns on the way to Ajanaco, at 3,500 meters above sea level.

As you descend into the cloud forest, immerse yourself in lush greenery filled with orchids, heliconias, and diverse wildlife, including the Andean cock-of-the-rock and quetzals. Keep your camera handy as you explore this magical landscape.

After a day of exploration, relax at the lodge with a delicious dinner made from local ingredients, and let the soothing sounds of the jungle lull you to sleep.

Day 2: Atalaya and Machuwasi Lagoon

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before hiking to spot colorful birds and playful monkeys. Then, take a one-hour bus ride to the lively port of Atalaya, where you’ll board a boat for a 30-minute cruise to your lodge.

Refresh in the river or indulge in a mud bath along the way. In the afternoon, visit Machuwasi Lagoon and explore its serene waters on a raft, observing wildlife like monkeys, capybaras, and dwarf caimans.

As night falls, savor dinner and embark on an exciting evening hike to experience the jungle’s nightlife.

Day 3: Parrot Clay Lick and Return

Awake to a stunning Amazon sunrise and head to the parrot clay lick to witness colorful birds feeding on the nutrient-rich wall. After a tasty breakfast, return to Atalaya by boat, spotting more wildlife along the way.

As you leave the jungle, enjoy breathtaking views of the Andean peaks on your drive back to Cusco. You’ll arrive between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, filled with memories from your unforgettable journey.
